Cambodia

Human trafficking and child sex slavery in Cambodia represent a pervasive epidemic. AEM has joined forces with a local organization committed to rescuing young girls ensnared in sex exploitation. Moreover, numerous impoverished families rely on income generated by their children scavenging in garbage dumps, which sadly hinders these children, especially girls, from pursuing education. AEM collaborates with these families by offering financial support equivalent to the child's potential earnings (typically $2 monthly) as an incentive for allowing the child to attend school.

Many children live in dire conditions and suffer from severe lice infestations. In collaboration with a partner school, AEM continues to provide essential weekly funding to treat children affected by lice. This initiative also includes educating parents on lice removal techniques for their homes and offering preventive solutions for easy application at home.
